Welcome to Georgia Basketball Skills Academy
“Teaching the new age player the old school skills” Does your daughter love basketball? Does she want to play at the next level (middle school, high school, college)? If you answered yes to these questions, then you've found a service that could help your daughter’s reach her goals, and fulfill her potential as a basketball player. Coach Gene Durden and Coach Scot Waldrop have formed the Georgia Basketball Skills Academy (GBSA) to teach young girls (6th – 12th grades) the basic fundamental and advanced skills required to take your game to the next level. There comes a time in every player’s career when being the best athlete no longer guarantees they will be the best player. As girl's mature, the athleticism gap narrows, so it is imperative that they develop the basketball skills required to excel when they can no longer “out-athlete” an opponent. We have designed an intensive program that emphasizes individual skill development (ball handling, shooting, footwork) in a controlled environment (6:1 player/coach ratio). We are not an AAU/YBOA club, and we do not plan on organizing teams. So if you are a club coach, you don’t have to worry about recruitment of your players. It is our desire to develop working relationships with school, club and recreation programs. Georgia Basketball Skills Academy (678)665-9976
